AAI, IATA join hands to train 4000 officials in Airport Mgmt
Jammu: An agreement was signed between AAI and IATA for imparting training to 4000 AAI officials for skill development in Airport Management as per Global Standards.
The agreement was signed in the presence of RK Srivastava, Chairman, AAI and Victor De Barrena, Director, ITDI, IATA by Rajesh Bhandari, Executive Director Finance, AAI and Ayaz Hussain, CFO, IATA, at IATA Headquarters, Geneva.
RK Srivastava, Chairman AAI said, “India is emerging as an important player- both as a growth market for international aviation and also a key player in the community of key global aviation powers, adding the domestic aviation growth can be orchestrated into a larger opportunity for the country. So there is a need to address the training needs of AAI officials and to invest in creating and expanding its pool of airport and air navigational services professionals who are well versed with the critical global aviation issues such as operations, safety, laws, economics and climate change, among othersâ€.
