35 cadets pass Army aviation course

Nashik: 35 officers passed the army aviation course and were presented with Aviation ‘Wings’ in a ceremony on Saturday at the Gandhinagar airfield along Nashik-Pune road.

Captain Kshitij Kumar Gupta was adjudged the best candidate overall during the 18-month long rigorous training and was presented the Silver Cheetah Trophy during the passing out parade of the 20th course conducted by the Combat Army Aviation Training School (CAATS), the only institute in the country that provides combat oriented training to helicopter pilots who have undergone basic flying course.
All 35 officers from various divisions of Army who volunteered for the course, passed out with Wings on their chests after the rigorous training in helicopter flying at the premier training institution of the Army Aviation Corps.
