Lok Sabha gives nod to aviation university bill

New Delhi: The Lok Sabha on Friday passed the Rajiv Gandhi National Aviation University Bill, 2013, which aims to set up the institution as an autonomous body to train a skilled workforce for the sector’s growth.

The institution will be set up in Rae Bareli district of Uttar Pradesh, the parliamentary constituency of Congress chief Sonia Gandhi.
Civil aviation minister Ajit Singh moved the bill which was passed after a short discussion.
The university will cost around Rs 200 crore.
According to the bill, skilled and competent workforce is essential to create a safe and efficient aviation industry.
The university aims to facilitate and promote aviation studies, teaching, training and research with focus on emerging areas of studies such as aviation management, aviation regulation and policy.

  1. About 15000 AME’s are sitted here unemployed…and its certificates are useless rather aviation…it means after 10+2 +3(AME) you are neither a graduate nor a diploma holder
    i.e. Your 3 yrs + Yours parents 4–6Lakhs fees are in vain.
    Government should
    make a solution for this.

After completing A.M.E. course if by god grace student get job they receive Rs.3000-4000 as salary,Some time student required to work unpaid for about 1-2 years.Some students required to leave field after striving for 3-4 years for job.I Request to government instead of ruining careers of coming generation they should first fill the loop hole in aviation industry so the engineers and technician who are already in aviation should get proper justice.No use producing other more numbers of unemployed persons.Its been appreciated if government look into this.
