Pilot training institute in Greater Noida by 2013
Greater Noida: Greater Noida is will soon become home to a state-of-the-art pilot training centre which will groom around 5,000 ground and cockpit crew in a year. The centre is slated to come up by 2013.
The centre is a joint venture of airplane manufacturer Airbus, Canada based-aviation technology company CAE and India’s Interglobe. The facility would be aimed at training pilots and technicians for airlines in India and neighbouring regions. “There is a huge demand for pilots in India and neighbouring countries. India is one of the fastest growing aviation markets in the world and will require over 1,000 aircraft over the next 20 years. Therefore, investing in this facility will facilitate the growth of national commercial airlines, in turn enhancing the growth of Indian economy,” said Kiran Rao, president, Airbus, India.
Not only aimed at providing training to fresh pilots, the facility will also focus on advanced refresher courses for an estimated 700 pilots annually, with the help of the four simulators on campus. The centre will aim to provide ‘wet’ and ‘dry’ type-rating, recurrent conversion and jet indoctrination training for pilots. The centre will be expanded to eight simulator bays in future.

How much more do you want to add on unemployment. There are already 4000 unemployed pilots in India. Airlines are going into such a loss that they can’t think of hiring pilots. You want to add 700 more to it per year. Kindly don’t post fake news. Aviation in India is saturated and in fact declining.
NO JOBS GUYS ! AVIATION IS DOOMED AS OF NOW. NW THERE R CLOSE TO 10,000 UNEMPLOYED PILOTS IN INDIA. DO NOT SPEND A PENNY ON THESE PRIVATE INSTITUTES, THEIR OBJECTIVE IS PROFIT AND ONLY PROFIT.
