Special courses in pilot training
Hyderabad: Apart from providing training, the AP Aviation Academy has special courses to further train flying and non-flying staff.
Dr Bapiraju, coordinator of the courses, said the B.Sc. in aviation that the academy offers from this year is a first for South India. “This is a distance learning programme approved by Osmania University,†she said.
“In addition, we have also introduced the M. Sc in Aviation for Aircraft Maintenance Engineering (AME) and this is a regular five-year course for which we have tied up with JNTU.â€
Candidates come for pilot training after completing Intermediate, but now with the B.Sc. distance course they can get a degree certificate that will help them in the future.
