Air Hostess Academy chief ready to resume training

Pune: Director of the Air Hostess Academy (AHA), Akash Gupta, a suspect in the case of alleged cheating of 49 students of Rs60 lakh, told the Deccan police during the interrogation that he was ready to restart the suspended aviation and hospitality course.
Gupta, who was initially in police custody but was granted magisterial custody on Tuesday, moved a bail application before the court.
He was granted bail on Rs1 lakh bond and a personal surety of the same amount. The court ordered him to submit a bank guarantee of Rs70 lakh and not to leave India and present himself before the investigating officer every Monday, Wednesday and Friday till the next order.
During the investigation, Gupta said he would resume the course to help the students if he was allowed to re-open the academy in Pune. He also told the police that if a student wanted a refund of fees, the institute was ready to repay it, excluding the money spent on training.
