Air India recruits Aircraft Maintenance Engineers
Air India Engineering Services Limited (AIESL), the MRO wing of Air India, is conducting
walk-in interviews in April 2019 to recruit Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) for:
- B1 & B2 to cover B737-700/800/900 aircraft fitted with CFM56 engine MRO at Trivandrum
- B1 to cover B777-200LR/300ER series aircraft fitted with GE- 90 engine at Nagpur
- B1 & B2 to cover A321/A320/A319 Aircraft fitted with IAE V2500 Engine or CFM 56-5B
Engine - B1 or B2 Licence to cover ATR 42-400/500/72-212A (PWC PW120)
The recruitment will be on a fixed term employment for a period of five years subject to
extension based on Company requirement.

ii. B1 AMEs- 06 (B777-200LR/300ER series aircraft fitted with GE- 90 engine)
iii. B1 AMEs- 40 (A321/A320/A319 Aircraft fitted with IAE V2500 Engine or CFM 56-5B Engine)
iv. B1 AMEs – 30 B1 or B2 Licence to cover ATR 42-400/500/72-212A (PWC B2- AMEs – 20 PW120)

– Reservation applicable for Ex Serviceman candidates as per Govt. Rules.
– No reservation is applicable for this post under the Persons with Disabilities Act,
1995.
3. ELIGIBILITY
A. For B737-700/800/900 aircraft fitted with CFM56 engine and / or B777-200LR/300ER series aircraft fitted with GE- 90 engine
i) Professional Qualification:
a) Must possess DGCA License to certify
b) CAR 66 CAT B1/B2 licence on B737-700/800/900 aircraft fitted with CFM56 engine.
c) CAR 66 CAT B1/B2 licence on B777-200LR/300ER series aircraft fitted with GE-90
engine.
d) Minimum one year maintenance experience as a certifying support staff with CAR
145 approved organization on B737-800/ CFM56 or B777-200LR/300ER fitted with GE90 as
applicable.
e) However, both qualified may also apply.
ii) Academic Qualification:
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or equivalent from Indian/ Foreign institution.
B. B1 & B2 to cover A321/A320/A319 Aircraft fitted with IAE V2500 Engine or CFM 56-5B Engine
i) Professional Qualification:
a) Must possess DGCA License to certify
b) In category B1 & B2 to cover A321/A320/A319 Aircraft fitted with IAE V2500
Engine or CFM 56-5B Engine. Candidates having qualification on A320 NEO aircraft
with Leap Engine will be given preference.
c) Minimum one year maintenance experience as a certifying support staff with CAR
145 approved organization on B1 & B2 to cover A321/A320/A319 Aircraft fitted with IAE
V2500 Engine or CFM 56-5B Engine
d) However, both qualified may also apply.
ii) Academic Qualification:
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or equivalent from Indian/ Foreign institution.
NOTE: preference will be given to the candidates having working experience of at
least 01 year on B1 & B2 to cover A321/A320/A319 Aircraft fitted with IAE V2500
Engine or CFM 56-5B Engine
C. III. B1 or B2 Licence to cover ATR 42-400/500/72-212A (PWC PW120)
i) Professional Qualification:
e) Must possess DGCA License to certify
f) In category B1 or B2 Licence to cover ATR 42-400/500/72-212A (PWC PW120).
g) Minimum six months practical maintenance experience on the type in last 24
months as on 01.02.2019.
h) However, both qualified may also apply.
10+2 with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics or equivalent from Indian/ Foreign institution.
FOR ALL POSTS
All those candidates who are holding a valid licence but do not have authorisation
will have to acquire the same within 06 months of their being appointed for the
post. If authorisation is not accquired within the stipulated period, the contract
maybe determined by the management.
All such candidates will be paid only part emoluments, as maybe decided by
AGE LIMIT AS ON 01.02.2019:
General Category – Not above 55 years as on 1st February 2019
OBC – Not above 58 years as on 1st February 2019
SC/ST – Not above 60 years as on 1st February 2019
Ex-Serviceman – as per Govt. rules but not above 60 years.

PRE – EMPLOYMENT MEDICAL TEST FOR THE SELECTED CANDIDATES:
Selected candidates will be required to undergo Medical test as per the advice of
company Medical Officer.
The shortlisted candidates will be inducted as per vacancies subject to being found FIT
in the Pre-Employment Medical Examination.
Candidates will have to bear the cost of the Pre-Employment Medical Examination(s),
including any additional tests if required.

2. A recent (not more than 3 months old) coloured passport size photograph of full face (front view) should be pasted neatly in the space provided in the application form.
3. Self-attested copies of supportive documents in respect of:
- Educational qualification (i.e. SSC, HSC, 1st year onwards upto the final year of Diploma/Graduation or higher education with mark sheets), as applicable.
- Date of birth proof (Original School Leaving Certificate or attested photo copy duly signed by the Principal of same School/College or Gazetted Officer and SSC passing certificate).
- With regard to experience, candidates are advised to carry experience certificate and if currently employed they should bring along with them the appointment letter and the latest pay slip as supporting document.
- Candidates are advised to carry their LOG BOOK(S) duly signed and stamped.
- Caste Certificate in original in the prescribed format along with self-certified photo copy in case of SC/ST/OBC candidates.
NOTE: An application in the prescribed format, must be submitted along with the above mentioned requisite documents.

Original Certificate should not be submitted with the application, but should be brought for
verification along with one set of photocopies.
The Company is not responsible for returning any original or copies of certificates/testimonials submitted along with the application. Candidates who fail to produce the original testimonials for verification may not be allowed for the Selection process.
f) Candidates belonging to OBC Category must submit a duly attested photocopy of Non-Creamy Layer certificate issued in current financial year in the format as prescribed by Government of India (Central Government Format for OBC certificate) and issued by the Competent Authority. The certificate, inter-alia, must specifically state that the candidate does not belong to socially advanced sections excluded from the benefits of reservation for OBC in civil posts and services under the Government of India. The
Certificate should also contain the Creamy Layer Exclusion clause. The Certificate produced by the candidates of OBC community should be as per the Central List of OBCs published by the Government of India and not as per State List.
g) Applicants working in Government/Semi-Government/Public Sector Undertakings or autonomous bodies must walk-in with the completed application form routed through Proper Channel along with No Objection Certificate from the present employer.
