Students Allege Cheating by Air Hostess Institute

Kochi: The students of a reputed nation-wide air hostess training institute have approached the police alleging that the institute cheated them by running a fake graduation course which was not approved by any university. The students, along with their parents, filed a complaint at the Ernakulam South Police on Wednesday.

According to Siby Tom, Circle Inspector, there were around 32 students who were admitted for BA course in aviation at the institute functioning in Ravipuram.

“The allegation was that they had admitted students in 2013 promising to provide BA course affiliated to MG Meghalaya University. Though the students were admitted, no examination was conducted. When the students questioned this, the institute conducted a bogus examination claiming it to be conducted by the university. Recently when the students checked with the university, they came to know that MG Meghalaya University was not conducting any BA Aviation course. Following this, 32 students and parents approached us with a complaint,” he said.
