30 students future in dark after DGCA scraps Nagpur Flying Club’s permission for flying
Nagpur: Directorate general of civil aviation (DGCA) cancelled the Nagpur Flying Club’s permission for flying its plane. The decision is taken citing that the instructors are not full-time employees. This has put the question mark over the future of the 30 trainees that are enrolled.
The academy had the permission of flying till January. But it has been suspended now putting the future of 30 trainees in dark.
In October 2014, senior officer of DGCA was in Nagpur to conduct audit of the academy. The officer pointed out certain lapses in the academy and revoked the permission of flying for instruction but permission of flying for security reasons was kept intact.
In the flying academy, there should be on-ground instructors, different chambers for different types of training for trainees, these were the few lapses pointed out by the then auditor.
