Government Aviation Training Institute faces payment problems

Bhubaneswar: The state government-owned Government Aviation Training Institute that provides pilot training, is facing a tough time to pay the dues to Aero Club of India.

According to official records, after paying Rs 46 lakh to Biju Patnaik airport for using its space for flying training, it is struggling to pay the annual membership fee to Aero Club of India.

It owes Rs 53,729 for the current financial year to the club. Like all other government aviation training institutes, GATI is a member of Aero Club of India, which provides training materials and technical know-how to its members. But GATI is yet to pay the amount.
