Govt to re-examine eligibility of flying schools

New Delhi: Civil Aviation Minister Ajit Singh on Friday said eligibility criteria of flying schools will be re-examined.In a written reply in Lok Sabha, Singh said: “Based on the investigation report submitted by the Chief Vigilance Officer (CVC) in the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) regarding alleged irregularities in various flying schools, the CVC had directed the Ministry of Civil Aviation to fix responsibility of officials of DGCA and Airports Authority of India in the matter.” “The observations of the CVC in the matter was examined, it was decided to initiate disciplinary proceedings against the three officials alleged to have been involved. The Ministry of Civil Aviation had also sought permission from the CVC for further investigations in the matter.”
