Nagpur flying club to acquire flight simulator soon
Nagpur: Trainee pilots of Nagpur Flying Club (NFC) will soon get to fly an aircraft on a simulator. The state government-run NFC has finalized plans to acquire a simulator to impart training, said Arun Dongre, managing director of NFC.
Officials from the director general of civil aviation (DGCA), who recently visited NFC, also gave the nod for the equipment. The NFC was also offered equipment lying idle with DGCA.
“We are also in touch with a Siwss company. The simulator is a state-of-the-art equipment, an exact copy of the Cessna aircraft cockpit. It will be used for intensive training,” said Dongre.
The functioning of the aircraft is simulated through this instrument. Trainee pilots can plan their departure, destination, negotiate turbulent weather and also deal with emergencies like fire or a technical snag.
