Glitch means 4% clear pilot exam
New Delhi: Following a software glitch, less than 4 per cent candidates managed to clear the first-ever online examinations for pilot licence conducted by the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) earlier this month, that too in only one subject out of 12.
The exams had been started after a number of pilots were found to have used fradulent means to acquire their flying licences. Following Friday’s results, none of the 4,000 candidates will be able to secure a licence. Nearly, 900 candidates appeared for the Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL) or commander’s licence, while the rest were mostly for Commercial Pilot Licence or co-pilots’.
According to top DGCA officials, of the 4,000 candidates who appeared in the online examinations during December 3-9, 175-odd candidates managed to clear only one subject — air navigation.

thy have 2 check all the papers again…….
sam they wont i guess. so
If we pilots raise our voice, then they should recheck
Is it correct time to become pilot now ??
at dgca , there is never a correct time ishmeet
I FEEL DGCA SHOULD MAKE EXAM MORE TRANSPERANT, THEY SHOULD PUBLISH PAPER & ANS. SEET ON DEMAD BASIS, SO PILOTS CAN UNDERSTAND WHERE IT GONE WRONG,WHICH WILL HELP CORRECT IN FUTURE.
NO OF QUESTIONS WERE REPETED & THEIR ANS. WERE DIFFERENT IN GIVEN OPTIONS , REALY WHETHER DGCA WANTS PILOTS TO PASS OR RESULT IS RESTICTIONSTO 0.5%
Tanq u Dgca for making exams tougher n tougher.
ALL the Good days will be back in action soon.
DGCA must re-check all papers and pass all the deserving candidates.Let their hard work not go waste due to introduction of technology…By failing maximum candidates what is DGCA trying to prove. One more feather out of DGCA cap on already down and corrupt organisation.Better learn from FAA how to conduct online exams.
