US Aeronautics course a hit among students

Chennai: Aeronautics, space physics and air traffic management has a lot of takers among Indian students. This was revealed at a study fair organised by the Lindens Education Services here on Sunday.
International Recruitment Director at the Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Arizona campus, Andy Fraher, told Express that Indian students are very keen on taking up specialisation in the field of aeronautical engineering and allied courses.
With the Indian aviation industry extending its reach globally, the students have really good job opportunities in India once they specialise in courses offered in USA, he pointed out. In the last few years, there has been a 50% increase in the number of Indian students taking up such courses in USA, he added.
More than 300 students participated in the fair, in which 20 US universities were represented.
