Travco Holidays to set-up an aviation academy in Goa by January, 2008

Margoa: Travco Holidays Pvt. Ltd., a franchisee of Thomas Cook, is all set to launch ‘Travco Aviation Academy’ at Margao in Goa by next month. The company has invested Rs 60 lakh for setting-up the Academy and based on the response, it plans to start branches at Panaji and Mapusa. The Academy will offer International Air Transport Association (IATA) and United Federation of Travel Agents Association (UFTAA) certified courses in administration, sales, ground handling and marketing.
The company has tied-up with Amadeus and Galileo for providing Computerised Reservation System (CRS) for Global Distribution System (GDS) related course. The Academy will help fuel supply of trained professionals for the aviation and tourism industry, which is booming and has huge requirement for skilled manpower, according to Bruno Gomindes, Managing Director, Travco Holidays Pvt. Ltd.
