Indian Civil Airshow News: October 15-18 Hyderabad

Airbus is taking part in the India Aviation 2008 Air Show (15th-18th October) at Hyderabad's Begumpet airport. This is India's first air show dedicated to the civil aviation sector. The Airbus A380, the world�s largest and most modern commercial airliner, will make an appearance at the show. The aircraft will be landing on the 16th October with an expected arrival time at the end of the morning, and will be on static display for the remainder of the day. It will then depart in the early hours of the 17th October.
In addition, the opening day of the show (15th October) will feature the arrival of a brand new A319 aircraft that will touch down from Hamburg in Germany. It will be handed over to Air India in a delivery ceremony and will then be on static display until the end of the show. The A319 will be Air India's seventh A319 in their fleet.
To complete the Airbus product range, an Airbus A330 from Kingfisher will also be on display. Kingfisher has 5 A330s in service.
Airbus will hold an A380 press briefing on Thursday 16th October, starting at 16h30 at the Press Conference Centre, in the main airport block, with John Leahy, Airbus Chief Operating Officer, Customers and Dr. Kiran Rao, Executive Vice President Sales & Marketing, and President Airbus India. Members of the media are invited to attend.
Visitors to the show will be able to see scaled aircraft models, and find out about Airbus and its entire product range at the indoor stand in Hall B (stand B37). There will also be information on Airbus� cooperation with India, including the Bangalore based Airbus Engineering Centre India and Airbus Training Centre India.
