CTC Aviation looks at Indian carriers for placements

New Delhi: With the Indian aviation booming and the need for pilots felt not only in the country but the world over, New Zealand-based aviation training academy, Crew Training Centre (CTC) is surveying the option of partnering with Indian carriers for cadet placements. Speaking exclusively to Express AviationWorld, John Jones, chief executive, CTC Aviation Training said, “We have trained many pilots over the years. Last year alone, we trained over 1,000 pilots in our United Kingdom centre and almost 200 in New Zealand and placed them with partner airlines.”
The academy has the reputation of 100 per cent placements and last year it also had a cadet appointed with Indian-private carrier, Jet Airways.
CTC Aviation has three simulators in addition to 36 aircraft in Hamilton, New Zealand which includes Diamond DA42 TwinStars, Piper PA44 Seminoles and single engine fleet of Robins, Alphas and Cessnas. Trainees are offered Ab Initio training at the Hamilton centre while JAA standard training is offered in the UK centre.
Besides Ab Initio training, the academy has also launched an Airline Preparation Course (APC) which includes CRM, TEM and MCC.

  1. Hi.Am an Indian currently pursuing my Pilot training in Christchurch Nz.Have 4 CPL papers to pass and with 80 hours of total flying so far with a restricted PPL.As a result of my constant search on and offline came to know of CTC’s various programmes and though aware that its all for European or Nz nationals, the job assistance courses offered, just wanted to know the chances of my training from this point of my flight training to get atleast half the benefit of those nationals in terms of getting job placements,in my country, with no sponsership expected.I would not have any second thought in diverting my remaining funds which i have budgeted for my CPL+MEIR and a Type rating in A320 or B737(depending on the one that needs its right hand seat to be filled at the time i am ready with my CPL.)Need professional advice and guidance for a mutual benefit. As a customer and an investor i want the best deal.I can assure of my dedication and commitment to the profession, upon selection with no jumping from cockpit to cockpit or airliner to airliner..just for a few extra perks.
Looking forward for some sensitive guidance from someone who can empathise.
    Thankyou
    Karthik
