Indian has extended the upper age limit and last date of receipt of application extended for the post of Cabin Crew.
The last date was 6th August 2007 and now it is 20th August 2007. And upper age now raised to 27 from 25. The notification says it is for immediate induction and to form panels for future requirements for Northern/Western/ Southern Regions. And they are looking for people with two years of experience.

Here are the details:

Eligibility Criteria as on 1st July 2007

a) AGE: Between 18 and 27 years (Relaxable upto 5 years in case of SC/ST and 3 years in case of OBC categories)
b) QUALIFICATIONS: 10+2 from a recognized Board/University.
c) EXPERIENCE: Minimum TWO YEARS’ experience as CABIN CREW in an Airline
of repute.
d) PHYSICAL STANDARDS:
1. Vision: Normal eyesight without glasses OR Corrected with contact lenses
(Power of Lenses should not exceed + 4D)
2. Colour Vision: Normal on Ishihara Plates.
3. Height & Weight:
Female - Minimum 154.5 cms with proportionate weight.
Male - Minimum 163 cms with proportionate weight.
(For SC/ST candidates, minimum height is relaxable by 2.5 cms)

e) LANGUAGE: Fluency in English and one or more Indian Languages. Should also have
working knowledge of Hindi.
A candidate shall be deemed to have acquired working knowledge of Hindi, if he/she has passed:
i) Matriculation or an equivalent or higher examination with Hindi as one of the subject; OR
ii) Pragya, the examination conducted under Hindi Teaching Scheme of the Central Government or when so specified by that Government in respect of any particular category of post, any lower examination under that scheme; OR
iii) Any other examination specified on that behalf by the Central Government; OR
iv) He / she declares himself/herself to have acquired such knowledge.

Selection Procedure

Eligible candidates will appear for a Job Proficiency Test. Those who qualify the same will appear for personal interview.

General Conditions:
Candidates may apply only for ONE REGION. Applications of candidates, who apply for more than one Region, shall not be considered.
Selected candidates will be imparted training at Indian Airlines Cabin Crew Training School, Hyderabad or at any other place decided by Indian Airlines.

Interested candidates, who fulfill the above requirements, may send their application in the prescribed format duly filled and signed along with a recent passport size photograph duly pasted in the space provided in the Application Format and a Demand Draft of Rs. 300/- (Rs. three hundred only – Demand Draft not applicable for SC/ST/Ex.-Servicemen candidates) in favour of INDIAN AIRLINES LIMITED, payable at NEW DELHI, addressed to General Manager (Personnel), Indian Airlines Limited, Headquarters, Airlines House, 113, Gurudwara Rakabganj Road, New Delhi – 110 001 so as to reach ON OR BEFORE 20th August 2007.
The envelope should be superscribed “APPLICATION FOR CABIN CREW (MALE/FEMALE) (AS APPLICABLE) FOR ________________REGION".
Candidates employed in Government/Semi Government/Public Sector Undertakings should forward their applications through proper channel.
